Toastmasters International je zájmové občanské sdružení sloužící k upevňování řečnických a komunikativních schopností v anglickém jazyce, které je zapojeno do sítě obdobných mezinárodně uznaných řečnických organizací. V České republice je 6 anglicky mluvících, oficiálně zaregistrovných klubů tohoto druhu (celkový počet členů TI klubů na světě - 260 000 organizovaných ve více než 12 500 klubech a 113 krajinách světa). Posláním Toastmasters International je vytvářet vzájemně se podporující a pozitivní studijní prostředí,v němž každý jednotlivý člen má příležitost zvyšovat své komunikativní a řídící schopnosti, což zároveň upevňuje sebedůvěru a personální růst každého člena, a to vše navíc v cizím, tedy anglickém jazyce. Kluby jsou otevřeny všem zájemcům z řad veřejnosti. Členem sdružení - klubu se může stát každá osoba starší 18 let se znalostí angličtiny takového stupně, aby umožňovala aktivní účast v programu. |
